Tasigna (Nilotinib) belongs to a pharmacologic class of drugs known as protein kinase inhibitors. Tyrosine kinase is responsible for telling leukemia cancer cells to grow and multiply. By blocking this protein, Tasigna slows down the progression of the disease.
